It is not surprise that many American are becoming obese with just about 95% of them sitting some part of their day at a computer. Some employers are beginning to find ways for employees to have a wellness program at their place of work. Lunch time is now the time to get-fit, even if thirty minutes a day is all you have to spare.
If you go not bring a sack lunch with you to work, then at least walk to where ever it is you will have lunch. Of course, only if this place is at least ten minutes from work. What you eat once you get there is important too. Pass on that hamburger with cheese and go for the chicken sandwich or salad. Before you head to the restaurant, take time to stretch for a few minutes.
If you are not used to exercising, this will help your muscles. Stretching is also good to reduce blood clots and this is good for those who sit all day. Burning calories during your walk to get lunch will actually make you less hungry and then you just might not eat as much as you would have. Keep an eye on those little snacks you have a work. How many sodas and coffees, that small bag of chips or even that candy bar that calls to you in the afternoon.
